COUNTDOWN TOWARDS ROMANIA
AJP ENTERS RED BULL ROMANIACS
AJP Motos will be present, by the first time on its history, on the
toughest Extreme Enduro race in the world, entering with a two
factory rider team that will challenge with the proved PR4
Extreme 240 the hardest trails designed in the heart of
Transylvania.
After several good results obtained in some Extreme Enduro
races held in Portugal, Paulo Russo and Emanuel Costa
decided to follow up the AJP challenge and enter in this
authentic endurance race that defies men and machines, an
adventure that will take more than 300 riders from 37 countries
to face five racing days and 600 km of hard trails embedded in
one the best places on earth for enduro lovers.
AJP founder, António Pinto, considers that this presence of the
brand in Romania has a special meaning, but according to his
words: "AJP will enter with some sportive ambition, even if the
first goal is to finish the race, but being at the first 20 places of
the Silver class in the last day would be something to
acknowledge. There are always innumerous problems and
people not going until the end, but the reliability of the PR4 240
it's a plus in a race with this characteristics.
We have a good experience with this model and the results
achived in several Extreme Enduro races leave us confident
towards this demandind race."
Paulo Russo aims to finish the Romaniacs, but underlines that:
"Navigation is something new and a challenge to overcome. The
pace of this race is different from what we usually find in
Portugal, but I've been working on the body and making some
special training with the bike."
Emanuel Costa is also making a specific training program for
this event: "I've been working with this race in mind for the past
four months, both physically and with the bike, and I also have other challenges, like
endurance, altitude changes and a specific climate that can
create unexpected problems."
AJP team is prepared to start engines on the 14 of July for the
prologue and besides this two factory riders, there are two other
Portuguese riders racing in the Red Bull Romaniacs with PR4
240 models, Nuno Pereira and Bruno Freitas.
