We know the mountains there like the back of our hands, we've been riding them for 20 odd years, so we know exactly where to go…see them at your leisure, complete with bike hire and all the kit you'll need

The trails up here are fantastic, with off road for all levels of skill and ability. We can string together any number of loops to suit all levels of rider, from complete newcomer to advanced expert – and every level in between.

With over 1000 miles of dedicated off road trails, Donegal is one of Irelands undiscovered riding paradises. Offering clearly defined trails through the mountains skirting beautiful Loughs and peaks on the old peat cutters roads that criss-cross the area.

The scenery is truly heart stopping in the hills and for most of the time you won't even see a metalled road on our travels, it's all dirt tracks! Seeing Ireland from a saddle of a dirt bike is one of the great “bucket list” boxes to tick, you'll have freedom to roam the trails and great guides to show you the ropes.

We can offer gentle tracks to suit the beginner and we also offer brand new bikes to hire (AJP's. very tough and reliable, with just enough power to tackle anything). So you can just turn up in your jeans, or even fly in to Belfast and grab a hire car. Lodging is in either a decent B&B; or, if you prefer it, a slightly more swish hotel, with a great pub below it for the all-important after ride “craic”.

Also on offer are guided trail bike tours for more experienced groups, where you can use your own transport if you wish. We can push you a wee bit or we can enjoy and just ride, it's your holiday and you get to choose. Either way we'll have a ball whatever the weather, and there's the very important beer afterwards too. We have a couple of bars to choose from in the village and the legendary “singing pub” is just a short hop away, with traditional Irish music most nights.

Obviously we don't recommend you hit it too hard, or your riding may be impaired the following day…hangovers can be taken into consideration though…

Road Tours in Donegal

As well as the dirt biking fun, our knowledge of Donegal means we can guide road bikes too. Out along Atlantic Drive, skirting the wild ocean at the Northern most edge of Ireland and through remote mountains on roads that hardly see a car. We'll cover everything on our comprehensive guided tours of Donegal.

We can build an itinerary to suit you, whether you want remote roads, scenery, history or music and the “craic”, we'll design your tour to cover all your desires. Donegal or a road riders paradise too, with everything from fast sweeping and spectacular main roads to tiny meandering lanes through the mountains.

Big adventure bikes can also choose to take a combined off/on road tour, where we'll mix a few easy trail sections with small roads stuff on a bespoke tour for you “big GS” types. If you like your Adventure biking and want to get your wheels dirty, this is the perfect way to combine a road trip with a little trail work.

Train while you tour…

As our guides are also qualified trainers, we can offer assessed rides and tuition while you tour. If a member of your group – or more, would like to brush up on their skills while enjoying the scenery, we can handle it.

The same goes for Dirt Bike tours, we can offer one-to-one tuition for complete newcomers or take the whole group training for another alternative. Mornings we can take in some easy trails with a bit of training, then after a pub lunch, we'll put some of that training to the test in the afternoon…just ask!
